Entry inhibitors are a class of antiretroviral drugs which targets key proteins involved in the HIV entry process, interfering with the virus binding, fusion and entry to a host cell.

Peptide-based lead compounds identified by Ambrilia:

  • Active on various HIV isolates
  • Active on CXCR4 & CCR5 expressing cells
  • Soluble and easy to synthesize

Small molecule lead compounds identified by Ambrilia:

  • High potency and specificity against HIV entry
  • Limited competition with significant limitations in terms of safety and efficacy
